It is with no sadness at all that I write this. I am outa here, but I thought I might at least give you my reasons. Hmmm... why, pray tell? Why bother? Why not just leave and forget about it?
It bothers me a little I guess, and there is just the remotest possibility that someone might hearken to my words and begin to think about what they are doing here in this closed loop, inbred, self validating little cyber society.
I haven't written much here - don't have the time to waste that some people seem to have. I thought it might be an amusing diversion, but the darker side of the whole business just overwhelmed that feeling. Places like this show just how sad the current state of the human mind is, how endlessly preoccupied with ego driven, media promoted moronic drivel it really is. This fact is even explicit in the "tips for bloggers" which promote the idea of regurgitating mainstream media stories in blogs - endless hype about endless hype about the least important materialistic floss and fungus of life.
What makes it even sadder is the fact that it's all happening inside a closed space where the only affect it has is upon the inhabitants of that closed space. A little world of self delusion fueled by the need to be noticed and the dangling carrot of hope that it might take you to writing stardom.
I write for a living, and I know what it takes to achieve even a modicum of success in the real world. Certainly, places like this serve a purpose if you use them to bash up your skills or just need an incentive in a different direction to break that block. What I can't understand are the peole who must spend hours of their time banging away here. Is climbing to the top of a garbage heap their one true purpose in life?
It isn't mine. In fact I am somewhat ashamed of myself for ever allowing myself to sign on here. My first look at the category lists should have been sufficient to warn me of the lack of purpose or value here, that is, above that of mindless pop culture ranting and the never ending search for ego validation.

Sorry to see you go ... just when I had discovered you, and you were starting to deal with whatever bought you here in the first place...
True, orbleand is not a place of instant reward, perhaps none at all... quite right... but really does add to the fact that 'venting with words' can be therapuetic.
You've given me something to think about.

Some got the impression on my "honest opinion" post that I was upset, but quite the opposite is true. As Damo ^ knows, I find S.L. Bradish to be one of the lowest element of bloggers and rattle her cage once in awhile so that she shows her true colors. I do it because: 1) I'm American and dislike the thought that a creature like that is representing the U.S. to others; 2) It is so easy to get her to dig herself into a deep hole, thus (hopefully) exposing her to the people she's "mentoring" here at Orble. Doesn't take much effort on my part to get her riled enough to make a jackass of herself.
All of this is occasional diversion, nothing more. It doesn't have to be anything more than that. Please don't let the minority of morons in the world get to you..I've just now discovered your posts and would like to read more.
