r u a blog moron?

Don't you just love those posts written in SMS text? Doesn't it just warm your soul to see, not only how well educated and intelligent the youth of today are, but also that they are now able to display all their literary talents on internet blogging sites for all to see?
How wonderful to know that they will never have the troubles we had, whereby we had to prove our literary abilities before being offered any chance of self expression in the media.
The wasteland grows.
I see also that there is a neat way of keeping your name in the front page listings here. Instead of writng a new post to your blog each day, you simply create a new blog per post. Amazing!
I notice also that the regurgitation of yesterdays news items continues unabated, and that there also remains a singular lack of understanding in regard to the word "technology" - some writers obviously unable to discriminate between that which is created with the use of technology, ie, media, and technology proper, ie, that which makes it work - you know, the obviously unknown weird shit that goes on inside the box. I sometimes visit these so called techno sites, being an electronics and communication tech by trade, only to discover that they are not talking about technology at all, just bloody mobile phones and computers. These are MEDIA my friends. Button pushing is not technology. Wankers.
You want grumpy, I'm giving it to you.

I want to nominate you for the job of speaker for the Lower House of Parliament.
I also come from a techo back ground and went into IT from there and now MultiMedia.
I don't write much techo stuff because that is like bringing work home with me. Also blogging is Intellect Lite. I looks intellectual from a distance but when you get up close the basics are missing. I just use it to practice my writing and to exorcise a few demons.

Yes, I can see it.
I use blogging for (a) excercising my exraordinary wit. (b) Showing off my pictures, because I like them and so should you, and (c) Hopefully educating a few people about how the mind works.
Mind you, I don't have much time for it - writing half the day and running a farm the other half only leaves the late night thing - and it would appear there are certain problems with late night blogging. That for another post.

Seriously, turning my laptop on is technological for me - but then, I don't purport to know anything about it. I blog because my desire to earn $100 before the year 2033 means that I try to write something on here several times a week. So even if I don't have time for proper writing I'm still engaged in it in some (small) way. Plus, I really do like a lot of the people here and enjoy reading their posts.
